Ivy Guesthouse Palkonya is located close to the croatian-hungarian border, near Pécs (Pecs will be the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010) and Harkány thremal spa towns, in the small mediterranean like south-west part of Hungary, in one of the most famous hungarian redwine making area called Siklós-Villány Wine Route. Palkonya is the most charming village of it, half of the village houses are monuments! Visit the Palkonya village website, on the many pictures you will see the charm of Palkonya immediately. Our Ivy Guesthouse is exceptionally beautiful, a protected monument country cottage. It was developed with respect for the architectural heritage of the village from the 18th century, but it is equipped with all comforts. It is really a luxurious accomodation, perfect for big families, friends, 8-19 people! Also recommended with small children as the ground is fenced, and there is a handmade wooden children playground, and baby equipments. It has 5 bedrooms, 4 showers/wc, equipped kitchen, terrace, big green garden with a pool, and even an own wine cellar. It`s not only the wineroute, what makes this area special, but walkingroutes, the Danube-Drava National Park, and natural lakes for swimming and fishing, Harkany wellness and thermal spa is near. The "3 River" international bike route, which runs along Danube-Drava-Mura rivers goes also through Palkonya. Palkonya is situated on a hill ridge, between 3 fishing lakes, the village has breathtaking panoramic views from the surrounding winehills and forest walking routes. Palkonya is also representing Hungary in the Cultural Village of Europe movement, in 2007 the village hosted the other 12 european villages with many festivities.

Ivy Guesthouse Fertőd is located in Fertőd town, along the austrian-hungarian border. If you are searching for a peaceful environment, friendly people, the Ivy/Borostyan Guest House is the perfect place for you to stay. Our family run pension is located near the birdwatcher paradise Fertő-Hanság National Park area, in a cute town called Fertőd. We are proud of the most beautiful Hungarian baroque palace, the famous Esterhazy castle - well known as the "hungarian Versailles". In Ivy Guesthouse we have double and triple bedrooms with shower, a nice separated 80 sqm apartman with 2 rooms, (6-8 beds) livingroom, diningplace, bathroom, even own garden. We have one house in our garden also with 2 rooms, teakitchen, bathroom, sunterrace. These latters are best for families and 4-8 friends who travel together. Our Ivy Holiday Home is at the edge of the World Heritage listed Fertő-Hanság National Park, along the austrian-hungarian border. It is ideal for big families or groups up to 23 people. The house has 7 sleepingrooms and 6 attached bathrooms. It can be rented in a whole or by 2 separate apartman. Downfloor apartman has 4 bedrooms for max 10 people, upfloor apartman is has 3 bedrooms for max 12 people. Each apartman has kitchen, diningroom. If you stay for at least a week we rent the house also by rooms. Rooms have own shower and toilet.
